Gas Prices in Portland Dec. 4, 2008

I have been asked this question a couple of times lately so here is the answer.  The cheapest place to get gas is at Costco.  The price yesterday was $1.70 per gallon.  It has been dropping daily for about three weeks.  At the gas stations along I-5 (usually higher) the average price is about $1.82.  A few weeks ago the price difference between Costco and the freeway stations was MORE than 50 cents a gallon!  I think they got the message when no one was buying from them and got in line with everyone else.

I haven’t checked the price for home heating oil but I am curious how they are doing?  The weather hasn’t turned cold yet, we are still hanging out in the low 50′s and high 40′s.
