Sherwood is a great place to raise a family, a quiet, sleepy town just outside of the Portland metro area. We have easy access to downtown Portland, but feel like we’re closer to the country. Sherwood has many subdivisions with lots to offer, Woodhaven being one of them.
Woodhaven is the largest subdivision in Sherwood, but is well-planned and has an easy flow to it. Many of the streets are tree-lined and wind around, definitely not a gridded subdivision. All of the streets have sidewalks so is safe for kids walking to school.
Woodhaven also enjoys several miles of walking paths though the dedicated greenspace. It makes for a beautiful walk, jog or bike ride. Some of the paths will take you across a street, but you’re then immediately in another dedicated greenspace. Many homes in Woodhaven have the luxury and privacy to back up to a greenspace. This really adds to the country-living feel without having to pay for or maintain acreage.
There is a new YMCA facility at the entrance of Woodhaven. This facility has a multi-use pool, large weight room, running track, classes for adults and kids, indoor soccer, indoor basketball, climbing wall and so much more. They have also added a teen center for middle- and high-schoolers.
Woodhaven has a wide price range for homes depending on size, levels and amenities added. In recent months the price ranges have spread from $314,000, for a one-level 1600 sq ft home up to $610,000 for a 3100 sq ft home with many upgrades inside and out.
