The new law goes into effect August 1, 2010. The quick version is that any home containing a woodstove that is not certified as DEQ or EPA, must be removed prior to a home selling. Furthermore, there is a specific procedure for removal/disposal and the requirement to file a report with DEQ once completed. You can read all about it at:
