This years show was truly one of the best I’ve seen in years.  Located in Oregon City just five minutes from I-205.  I’d have to say the main reason is the setting.  With lot sizes between two and five acres surrounded by a wonderful wooded area (rather than the usual 8000 square foot lot with a 6000 square foot house) the location is Ideal.  Price tags between $2.5M and $3.5M.

Outdoor entertainment areas with multiple full kitchens were even more spectacular with the near by creek.  Heaters were in place for those chilly nights making them year round living space.

This years design trends were focused on the ceilings.  Fresco’s and intricate detailing in most rooms.  Cabinetry was stained not painted, using two different color finishes (very nice effect).  All the homes had at least one media/theater room.  Less hardwood flooring and more slate, marble, tile and even carpet.  The one thing I noticed most was there were very few recessed lights, all the lighting was done with wonderful fixtures mounted in new and different ways.  Oh, there was only one swimming pool, indoor of course (after all this is Oregon).
