On Friday Nov. 25th, the ski season officially opened with a pretty decent snow pack at Government Camp. My kids had their first day of race training at Ski Bowl (Timberline has been open for a month) which is at the 3000 Ft elevation level, and is the easiest resort to get to. Conditions were good for November. However on Saturday, the powder was 14″ deep and the skies were blue and the conditions were fabulous!
The weather man just said that they are expecting snow down to the Valley Floor today and tomorrow. That means no school and in many cases no work. Just remember, the weather man is only 50% accurate when predicting snow.
