Saturday Market is a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday. It is located in one of Portland’s downtown historical neighborhoods and near the waterfront on the Willamette River under the Burnside Bridge.
Saturday Market has a lot to offer. There are almost 300 artisans covering many categories including jewelry, home accents, garden, candles, pet products, portraits, toys, clothing, food and so much more. Many times the vendors are actually the artists and can be interesting to chat with and learn about whatthey do, how they do it or even special order an item to your own specifications.
This is an open-air market of booths and tents lined up and are under cover of the bridge for the most part. It can be a lot of fun even on a drizzly, Portland day. There are many food booths and free entertainment throughout the day and on street corners. The MAX comes right through Saturday Market with a stop under the bridge for your convenience and there are several lots around as well as street parking.
The Saturday Market season is from March to mid-December and the hours are:
Saturdays 10am – 5pm and Sundays 11am – 4:30pm.
